Carnahan, who has been teaching this art for 20 years and has over 44 years experience in oil painting. Bill provides all kinds of art classes for youths to seniors. No previous art experience is necessary to participate and be successful in our classes. Lessons are taught step by step so you will not be left behind, resulting in a completed painting. Artist Bill Carnahan has a large personal collection of his artwork which he has shown in many of the larger Western Art shows and smaller arts and craft shows in Washington and Oregon. His art ranges in subjects from collections throughout the US and several foreign countries. He enjoys capturing nature as he sees it, painting wildlife, old barns, landscapes and flowers of the Pacific Northwest.

Bill is one of the founding members of the Northwest Artist Association and is one of the artists featured in a book published in 2005 “Notable Artists of the Pacific Northwest.” He is also included the book "Artists of the West" released in May of 2008. He is currently focusing more on teaching. 20 years ago, Bill became certified to teach the "Bob Ross" technique by the Bob Ross Company. It is a rewarding and exciting experience to help someone that has never painted to end up completing one. Landscapes, seascapes and flowers are usually taught in Bill's classes.

The teaching classes here are designed to give each student as much information and experience as possible. The main goals of the lessons are to complete the class painting and give students the encouragement to start working on their own and really experience The Joy of Painting as Bob Ross meant it to be. Every step is explained and taken with time so no one gets left behind. Everyone will be able to be successful if they are willing and able to follow instructions to learn new techniques.
